Jill is a qualified Floral Designer and Interior Designer with a background in costume design and construction, puppet making, and prop construction. She studied costume design in Sydney whilst also making and designing costumes, puppets and props for television and stage, for companies such as The Wiggles, Raggs Kids Club, The Simpsons, the NRL and AFL, and New MacDonald’s Farm. In 2012 Jill designed The Journey Girl and The Trade, both for the Tasmanian Theatre Company (TTC), and The Boy with the Longest Shadow for TTC in 2011. As a floral designer she has won several national and international awards including Australian Florist of the Year and a Silver Medal at The Chelsea Flower Show in London. Jill has designed and created sculptural installations for window displays, functions, and promotions in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sydney and Melbourne. After re-locating to Hobart from Sydney in 2008 Jill studied Stage Management and has worked as Production Manager, Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager on every TTC production over the last 4 years. Jill has worked on several other large Hobart productions including Mona Foma, Falls Festival, The Magic Flute, Miss Saigon, Dido and Aeneus, and The Wizard of Oz. Jill is currently the Production Coordinator with the Salamanca Performing Arts Course in Entertainment.
